Nimphelos was born F.A. 50 in the land of Mithrim. After the Daglor Aglareb saw the loss of both her father and her sister, Nimphelos was sent far from the front of battle to live with kinfolk at Nevrast. Under the rule of Turgon, Nimphelos joined the House of the Fountain, and dwelt in Vinyamar until the exodus to Gondolin.
Like all of Lord Ecthelion's household, Nimphelos has been trained with a sword; however, being of a lackadaisical nature, she is not a particularly fearsome opponent. She has a certain grace of foot, however, which she has put into service as Ecthelion's vintner. Most mornings she can be found barefoot and crushing grapes in the vineyard of the Fountain House.
Silver-haired and dark-eyed, Nimphelos remains unwed by choice. She plays the flute with moderate skill and is rarely seen without at least one diamond on her person.
